Teacher's Day Celebration by KMTI

Every year on September 5th, India celebrates Teacher's Day to recognise the contributions that teachers have made to our education, community, and nation. The 5th of September is designated as Teacher's Day each year to commemorate the birth of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was known for being a scholar, diplomat, the President of India, and above all, a teacher. Teachers' Day is an important occasion for all the educational institutions and honours the hard work and teachings of all the respected teachers. In order to pay a tribute to the memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and celebrate the contributions of teachers, the teachers of KMTI (Kolkata Montessori Training Institute) arranged the teachers Day program in a grand manner where the teachers of STEM World School were invited and honoured to make the event a more successful one. The program was organised at Lok Sanskriti Bhavan in Sodepur on 9th September. The auditorium was beautifully decorated with flowers, banners, and festoons. The members of KMTI made a warm welcome at the auditorium gate. The program started at 12 noon with a prayer song. The CEO and the Principal of the organisation presided over the function. He put a garland on the photograph of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan to pay him homage. Then the Principal congratulated the teachers and acknowledged the sincere efforts they put in every day. He gave a valuable speech on Dr. Radhakrishnan and explained the importance of Teachers’ Day. The teachers of STEM World School along with other schools were welcomed and honoured on the stage by a tilak ceremony along with a memento. Some students of KMTI also expressed their gratitude towards the teachers by giving short speeches. Students performed several cultural activities like dance, songs poems, dramas, etc. on this special occasion. The students also arranged some fun games for the teachers to entertain them. All the teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program. Finally, the event came to an end around 3 p.m. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of students and society as a whole, and thus this day provides an opportunity for students and the community to express their gratitude and respect for their educators.
