Annual Sports Day 2

The STEM World School Annual School Sports 2023 was a vibrant celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and spirited competition. Held at our school’s sprawling grounds, the event showcased the prowess, determination, and teamwork of our students. The day commenced with a grand display of teamwork as the four houses adorned in their house colours, marched in proudly around the field led by their Captains and the School Captain and Vice Captain before hoisting the five flags, Pledging to Fairplay and the School Captain taking the lap of honour before igniting the sports torch. This was followed by an exhilarating opening ceremony, filled with color, energy and performances as a tribute to the traditions and cultures of India and its ancient connection towards a healthy and balanced life. This is followed by the felicitation of our Chief Guest Smt. Kirtika Rajoria. Wife of Commissioner Shri. Alok Rajoria of the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate and our Guests of Honour Shri Rana Pratap Singh, CEO of Career & Courses, Shri. Deshraj Singh, Senior Faculty in Career and Courses, Yashwasi Duggar, daughter of our Chairman Shri Vinod Duggar and Our Director Smt. Debika Bhakat. Then our Honourable Principal Sir gave a speech addressing the parents highlighting the school’s achievements and enrichments in different fields in the current academic year. The sports events were diverse and inclusive, catering to various interests and skill levels. From track and field events like sprints, relays and obstacle races to sack races and balancing races where every participant showcased their talent and sportsmanship. The highlight of the day was the Inter House Tug of War event and the Relay Races, where the entire school community cheered on their respective teams. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and applause echoing throughout the day. Even the spectators, including parents, teachers, and fellow students, enthusiastically supported the athletes, creating an encouraging environment for all. Within the competitive spirit, the sports day created a sense of unity and sportsmanship. Students displayed exemplary behavior, encouraging and applauding their peers proving the values of teamwork, perseverance, and fair play instilled within our school community. Medals and trophies were awarded, acknowledging the dedication and effort of the participants. Stand out awards include Bhabha house getting the Best Discipline award, Vivekananda House winning the Best March Past award, and Ramanujan house over taking all others to win the Best House Cup and taking the final victory lap. As the sun began to set, the closing ceremony was a moment of reflection and celebration of the day’s achievements. Students lovingly formed the letters of the school name to display their school pride followed by a solemn Last Post ceremony where all the captains took down their house flags and the school captain brought down the school flag to signify the end of the school’s sporting event for this year.
