Earth Day Celebration 3 - 5 (2025)

“The earth is what we all have in common” - Wendell Berry Earth day, also known as World Earth Day, is a yearly occasion celebrated since 1970 on April 22, to support and protect the environment and to inspire all to rejoice and cherish the beautiful planet and to awaken the people on how they can be an asset in saving the Earth from pollution, global warming, water scarcity and other several concerns. To sensitize the children to become the crusaders for environmental conservation, STEM World School organised the ‘Earth Day Celebration’ in the school auditorium. A special assembly was conducted where the students of Classes 3, 4 and 5, shared their views about the importance of saving Earth and the measures that can be adopted to save our planet. There was also a power point presentation followed by a thoughtful discussion, which gave importance on the terms like tree plantation, along with a pledge to preserve our ‘Mother Earth’. The children were made aware that ‘EVERY DAY IS AN EARTH DAY’ and the purpose of celebrating Earth Day is to keep our grass green and our skies blue with more trees and less pollution. The little speakers also conveyed a special message about the various environmental issues and how all of us can make a difference by making small adjustments in our daily rituals & habits. It was moving and insightful to witness such strong messages on ‘Save the Environment -Save Earth’ being presented by the students of our school through creative activities. The drive was a huge success, empowering students with substantial knowledge of environment and plants. The Earth Day Celebration event helped in grooming the learners to become alert citizens who can contribute positively in safeguarding and protecting their ‘Mother Earth’.
