Rabindra Jayanti Celebration (Classes 8 to 12) Date: 8th May 2025 Venue: Auditorium Hall 1 STEM World School celebrated Rabindra Jayanti with reverence and enthusiasm to honour the birth anniversary of the great poet, philosopher, and Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore. The event, held in Auditorium Hall 1, was attended by students of Classes 8 to 12. The programme began with a brief yet insightful speech on Rabindranath Tagore. This was followed by a graceful group dance performance by the students of Class 9, set to the tune of the Rabindra Sangeet “Majhe Majhe.” The performance beautifully captured the elegance and emotional depth of Tagore's music. A soulful group song presentation then brought the audience into the poetic world of Tagore, featuring the melodies “Aji Jhorojhoro” and “Nilo Anjano Ghono.” The harmonies resonated deeply with the spirit of the occasion. Students of Class 8 next performed a vibrant dance on a mashup that showcased the timeless relevance and artistic richness of Tagore’s work. Adding a theatrical element to the celebration, a Bengali drama, Thakur thakbe kotokkhon, was staged, bringing to life the wit and depth of Tagore’s storytelling. The event concluded with a heartfelt Bengali poem recitation, offering a fitting tribute to Tagore’s literary genius and emotional resonance. The celebration was a moving and memorable tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, inspiring all present to reflect on his invaluable contributions to literature, music, and education.
