Special Assembly on Buddha Purnima (1 – 5)

Buddha Purnima, also known as Vesak, marks the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana (salvation) of Lord Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. It is one of the most sacred festivals for Buddhists and is celebrated with great reverence across the world. Lord Buddha was born as Prince Siddhartha in Lumbini, Nepal. He gave up his royal life in search of truth and attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, India. His teachings of non-violence, compassion, mindfulness, and truth continue to guide humanity on the path of peace and harmony. At STEM World School, students observed Buddha Purnima with devotion and joy. A special assembly was organized where inspiring speech about Lord Buddha’s life and his teaching was given. A video presentation on the life of Buddha was also shown, helping students understand his journey from a prince to an enlightened soul. Let us all learn from Lord Buddha’s message: “Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” May this Buddha Purnima bring light, wisdom, and peace into everyone’s lives.
