Rath Yatra Celebration Classes 1 – 5 (2025)

Rath Yatra, also known as the Festival of Chariots, is one of the most vibrant Hindu festivals, dedicated to Lord Jagannath. During this grand celebration, three beautifully crafted chariots carry Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra through the streets, as thousands of devotees joyfully pull them. While the festival is celebrated in many parts of the world, the most iconic and grand procession takes place in Puri, Odisha. According to Hindu beliefs, this sacred journey symbolizes Lord Jagannath’s visit to the Gundicha Temple, lovingly called the ‘Mausi Maa’ Temple. It is believed that pulling the chariots and participating in the yatra brings spiritual blessings and washes away sins. Children too embrace the festive spirit with great excitement—decorating their own little chariots and parading joyfully with the deities. At STEM World School, the young devotees celebrated the occasion with boundless enthusiasm and devotion. The joy on their faces and the vibrant atmosphere created a truly heartwarming sight. Come, take a glimpse into their delightful celebration and feel the festive cheer.
