Event: Awareness program on HPV Date: 15th September,2025 Time: 2.30 - 3.30 P.m. Venue- Auditorium Hall 1, STEM World School. Guest of Honour: Dr. Arpan Saha, Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist in Techno global hospital, Barrackpore city hospital, Galaxy Hospital. On 15th September, 2025 STEM World School in collaboration with MSD Educure hosted an Awareness programme on Human papillomavirus (HPV) the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI). The session began with introductory knowledge about cancer and its types - Cervical cancer (It is the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide). Dr. Arpan Saha explained the main causes, symptoms and prevention method of HPV (An infection that causes warts in various parts of the body, depending on the strain.) The session was interactive with proper explanation of vaccination process, correct age to get vaccinated, some myths and facts about HPV. Dr.Saha concluded the programme with some general and scientific advices to cope up with this kind of life threatening diseases. The session was highly informative and empowered us with knowledge about HPV which is the first step towards prevention.
