Special Assembly on Anti–Pollution Day Classes 6 – 12 (2025)

National Pollution Control Day, also known as Anti-Pollution Day, is observed every year on 2nd December in India. The day commemorates the tragic Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984, one of the world’s worst industrial disasters, which took thousands of lives and left a lasting reminder of the dangers of environmental neglect. The main objective of observing this day is to raise awareness about the harmful effects of pollution on human health and the environment. The day reminds us of our duty to protect the environment by reducing pollution, conserving natural resources, and promoting a cleaner, greener and cleaner planet. By controlling pollution, we are not just saving the environment, but also securing a healthy future for generations to come.
