The primary focus was equipping teachers with modern instructional methods to bridge learning gaps and enhance student’s interest in reading. The program combined interactive lectures where teachers were trained to shift from traditional lecturing to student-centric activities like group discussions and role-playing. The resource person also led the session on shifting focus from rote memorization to critical reading and analytical thinking. It also explored techniques for pre-reading, during-reading, and post-reading activities designed to boost student fluency and confidence. The workshop was overwhelming and it empowered teachers with highly practical and actionable skills to take back to their classrooms. The implementation of these modern methods is expected to significantly improve both student performance and overall classroom engagement.
